Winter is here and the fish have moved to the deepest water they can find.  Our fishing and guiding focus is centered on the Taylor River, as many trout over 10 pounds will hit the net this winter.  The East and Gunnison River have a hanful of holes and runs that will remain fishable.  Our current top choices for guided trips are    1-Private Taylor River  2-Taylor River C&R  3-Gunnison/East River wade trip

FLY TYING CLASSES

Our 6 class course begins the first week of January for all experience levels.  Expect to learn material selection and proportions, palmering hackle, dubbing, wrapping, entomology, and tons of tips while tying buggers, parachute dry flies, hair wing dries, pheasant tail nymphs, and hare's ear nymphs.  The course is $90 ($15 per class) with all material and tools included.  Come learn and become a better tyer and angler.  Pleade call for questions and to sign up.

With a new lodge after hurricane dean wiped out the previous one, Pesca Maya has been in operation since 1996.  Full service, all-inclusive, breathtaking beach, great guides, and awesome fishing has clients coming back year after year.  We have been fishing, exploring, and hosting trips in the Yucatan for over a decade.  Our hosted trips revolve around the best fishing times, along side hitting the economical periods where lodge owners often provide discounts.  Early December and late spring will be our target times for next year.  Please give a call and we can assist in booking your trip.
